Our Top Five Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Companies
For many, November marks the beginning of the holiday season. The leaves are falling, pumpkin and cinnamon waft through the air, and giving thanks becomes a priority. Here at Tsi-La, we can think of a few ways to give thanks to our bodies and to the beautiful abundance of nature this month besides eating turkey. November is World Vegan Month, so we wanted to give a shout-out to five of our favorite fellow vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics companies.
1. Beauty Without Cruelty
The name says it all! Beauty Without Cruelty was founded in 1963 with our furry friends in mind. For over 50 years, they’ve made cosmetics without animal testing or animal products. You can find their cosmetics online and at many natural food grocery stores.
2. Meow Meow Tweet
Meow Meow Tweet offers products made with all organic materials, and they use as little plastic in their packaging as possible to keep their waste impact low. Everything is made by hand in small batches. Check out their organic soaps, cleansers, candles, and perfumes!
3. Pangea Organics
Their tagline is “Beauty Unpolluted,” and their goal is to produce goods that reflect their commitment to sustainable agriculture, fair-trade sourcing, and cruelty-free processes. Pangea believes that using pure, natural ingredients is the best way to keep our bodies and our planet healthy.
4. Glam Natural
From eyeshadows to foundations, Glam Natural uses only the best natural ingredients to give you exactly what you need without harmful additives. Their list of ingredients is short and easy to understand, and their products are all nonaqueous: none of their products contain water, which can harbor bacterial growth and so requires potentially harmful preservatives to keep it safe. All Glam Natural products are vegan, cruelty-free, and hypoallergenic.
5. LVX
To mix things up a bit, we round off our list with LVX, a high-fashion nail polish brand that is vegan and cruelty-free. They produce their polishes without formaldehyde, toluene, and other toxic chemicals commonly found in commercial nail polish, so you can count on a quality product without the usual harsh effects.
